Career Development Help Needed !!!!!?
Dear Friends
I am a software engineer, with 7 years of industry experience. I now want to move away from regular coding since I felt its really boring for me. I want to take up the kind of managerial tasks and in 10 years I want to grow as a Vice-President of a corporation.
What should I do to get to this place. Can you point me a direction to reach this goal. What should I study? Will 6-sigma green/black belts useful? or PMP certification help? Should I look for MBA. I cant afford to do regular, then what are the choices? Should I rather do MS through correspondence?
My education is MCA from a tier-2 college. I have a passion for travel, photography, food, yoga, meditation and meeting people. I am a hard worker, but I dont know how to influence people around me. Because of this others are taking credit and getting promoted for the work I do. I feel I dont have luck at all in life. For instance if there is an interview I will clear all 9 rounds and in the 10th round I flunk due to some silly mistake.
Because of which, I am stressed, not sleeping, eating etc and its ageing me fast.
My passion list clearly shows that computer is not my cup of tea. I read and know that we should work along on the things we are passionate about so we can enjoy even though it may not fetch a high salary at the moment.
I cant afford to leave my job since I have a 6 member family relying on me. But how can I develop my parellel career. I am in Pune-India.
From my passion point of view what would be the careers you would suggest?
Is there a career website which will help me to find what to do?
Can I get an online GodFather/Mentor for me? How and Where?
What should I do now? How can I get the answers to my questions on my mind?

You live in Pune, India, and you say you have an interest in yoga and meditation. Please do not seek an "online" mentor when you have the Osho Commune International next door to you. Go there, and meditate!!!! Or take groups! There is no better place to find yourself in the world...
