Employee rights?....?

Employee rights?....?

Employee rights?....?
I work for a pizza resteraunt in Lodi, California. I really enjoy my work but there are a few problems and i was wondering if you could help me with these...

I am the only employeeon my whole shift, everytime. the only othere people that are there is my boss and his wife and instead of helpiung me they just watch tv and serf the internet all day no matter how busy we are. which leaves me to take orders, create the orders, do the dishes, the trash, ect. ect. and i have talked to him about this and even given him an ultimatem which did absolutely nothing. I was wondering if there is a law against this in California or if i could just maybe get some advice. please and thank you.

Any such law would be 100% unenforceable. If you try, you are likely to find yourself a FORMER employee of a CLOSED pizza shop.

Ultimatums only work if you actually follow through with them. If you threaten to quit if things don't change, you really have to quit when they don't.

You can do less of the work, just stop doing it. Maybe they'll pitch in or maybe you'll just get let go.

Nope you are out of luck. they are your employers and they hired you to do the work. granted it would be nice to have some help, but if they don't want to they don't have to.

A law against what? They own the shop, remember? They get to decide what they do, and what you do - if you aren't OK with what they expect, your option is to quit.
