Wow....where do you live? It is very easy to get a teller job....and I live in a small town!
I see them in the paper almost weekly.
Anyway, what you need to do is:
~ Get dressed up. Not super fancy. A skirt/blouse or some slacks/blouse (i.e., NO jeans, flip flops, etc.)
~ Go into the banks and ask for an application. Fill it out there (if there is a place)....or take it in your car and fill it out. Bring it back in.
~ Make sure you fill in key items such as your references. This is important. DON'T put down friends or relatives. You need "professional" references. If you have had other employment....first ASK your previous boss or employer if you can put them down for a reference. Include phone numbers.
~ Do you have ANY type of "cash" experience? Have you worked anywhere (McDonalds?....a retailer?) where you needed to take money and give change. This is a big plus when looking for a teller job.
~ So....go IN to the banks (and don't forget the credit unions too!) IN person and ask for an application.
Hope this helps!
