Not some investors. Most investors. They are motivated by fear and greed. When stocks are rising in value they become very greedy and buy, buy, buy. When stocks are falling in value they become very fearful and sell, sell, sell. It is sort of human nature. They actually respond exactly the opposite of how they should respond.
